Safe Health Participates in Lokahi Innovation in Healthcare Hackathon
Safe Health proudly participated in the Lokahi Innovation in Healthcare Hackathon, a transformative event aimed at leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve healthcare outcomes in Hawaii and beyond. The hybrid event took place both online and onsite in Honolulu, Hawaii, uniting innovators from healthcare, technology, and academia to tackle pressing challenges in the healthcare industry.
The two-day event challenged participants to develop AI-enabled, data-driven solutions using advanced tools like artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cloud computing. Competitors had the opportunity to work solo or collaborate in diverse teams to create solutions with the potential to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery.
Safe Health’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Nada Milosavljevic, set the tone for innovation as part of the Hackathon Kickoff presentation panel alongside industry leaders from Milliman, ICON, New Native, and Web Shield. Recognized for her leadership and expertise, Dr. Milosavljevic has also been selected as a judge for the Hackathon, contributing her insights to evaluate the groundbreaking solutions developed by participants.
Finalists selected from the December online event will undergo a final review, with an exciting in-person innovation showcase planned for early 2025 (tentatively February-March). The showcase will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, providing an opportunity for ecosystem partners, state leadership, and industry players to witness the emerging AI-enabled solutions firsthand. The event is expected to draw key stakeholders, including the Governor of Hawaii and senior leaders from healthcare and technology sectors, underscoring Hawaii’s role as a hub for healthcare innovation.
“We are honored to contribute to the Lokahi Innovation in Healthcare Hackathon,” said Dr. Nada Milosavljevic, Chief Medical Officer at Safe Health. “This unique event fosters creative collaboration and enables us to explore new applications of AI and data-driven insights. Together, we aim to create impactful solutions that enhance healthcare access and outcomes, both locally and globally.”
Safe Health remains committed to driving innovation through collaboration, technology, and forward-thinking solutions that bridge gaps in healthcare access and efficiency.
